Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on financial agreements, property settlements, divorce, spousal maintenance, intervention orders, child support, de facto and same-sex relationships, and surrogacy and complex parenting matters
• Draft and review legal documents
• Represent clients in court proceedings
• Build and maintain strong, empathetic client relationships
• Contribute to the growth and development of the firm

Required profile

• At least 3 years of practice as a family lawyer, with a strong understanding of family law legislation and court processes
• Experience representing clients in court proceedings
• Commitment to exceptional client service and long-term client relationships
• L.I.V. Specialist Family Law Accreditation, or a strong desire to pursue it, is highly regarded

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, handling sensitive matters with compassion
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills
