External Auditor - Senior Associate, Consumer Industrial Products and Services

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Senior Associate for its Consumer Industrial Products and Services Audit team in Sydney. You will support high-quality external audit services, helping clients comply with regulatory requirements and improve financial reporting across a range of industries, while using emerging technologies such as AI and next-generation audit tools.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and performing external audits of financial statements in line with regulatory and professional standards
• Carry out substantive testing and detailed audit procedures to identify financial statement risks and ensure accuracy and compliance
• Help assess internal controls and risk management processes to support audit conclusions
• Prepare clear audit documentation and reports for clients and senior team members
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within audit engagements
• Work with clients and internal teams to resolve complex accounting and audit issues

Required profile

• 2-4 years of experience in external audit, ideally with exposure to CIPS or similar sectors, and progress towards or completion of a recognised CA qualification
• Ability to analyse financial information, identify risks and apply professional judgement
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, able to explain audit findings clearly to clients and stakeholders
• Foundational knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to ongoing learning
