Experienced Landscape Architect

About the role

SMEC, part of Surbana Jurong, is seeking an Experienced Landscape Architect on a casual basis to deliver high‑quality landscape design, documentation, and contract administration across ANZ. You will work on multidisciplinary projects that shape public spaces, residential estates, parks, and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document landscape plans, open‑space layouts, master plans, water‑sensitive urban design, streetscapes, linear trails, and public infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed construction documentation, specifications, and coordinate with consultants across disciplines.
• Apply project‑management principles to meet standards, timelines, and budgets.
• Produce visualisations, reports, and hand graphics using CAD and Adobe tools.
• Collaborate with team members, clients, councils, and statutory authorities to secure approvals and ensure quality delivery.
• Contribute to the commercial success of projects and support wider team objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with clients, councils, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Australian working rights.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with SketchUp.
• Knowledge of Revit.
• Competence in Adobe Creative Suite.
