Experienced Graduate Architect – Public Projects

About the role

Architectus is seeking a capable Graduate or Designer/Architect to join its Public team, working on museums, galleries, theatres, libraries, courts and sports facilities across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, detailed design and documentation across all project stages, including site visits and on‑site issue resolution.
• Prepare architectural drawings, renderings, presentations and visual material that meet project objectives and quality standards.
• Provide technical input, recommend practical design solutions and ensure compliance with Australian codes, materials and methods.
• Collaborate with senior team members, clients, consultants, contractors and specialists to support smooth project delivery.
• Assist with quality control, documentation standards and guide junior team members as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑graduation experience in an architectural or design role.
• Australian architectural registration or willingness to work toward registration.
• Strong design thinking combined with solid technical, documentation and construction knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to work with limited supervision.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Rhino and Enscape (highly preferred).
