Experienced BIM Coordinator, Roads & Highways

About the role

We are looking for an Experienced BIM Coordinator specialising in Roads & Highways to join our Brisbane team. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineers and designers to embed BIM and digital‑engineering practices across major transport infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and optimisation of BIM workflows for road and highway projects.
• Coordinate BIM models, conduct reviews and ensure data integrity across all disciplines.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver high‑quality, coordinated digital deliverables.
• Assist in setting up BIM standards and templates in line with client and organisational requirements.
• Contribute to the growth of SMEC’s Digital Engineering capability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering transport and infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience on Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) projects is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of BIM and CAD methodologies.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
