Expediting Lead

About the role

The Expediting Lead will ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment for complex projects, driving supplier performance and providing visibility to keep projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead expediting activities across project procurement packages to align deliveries with project schedules.
• Develop and implement expediting strategies, plans and priorities supporting project objectives.
• Monitor supplier engineering, manufacturing and delivery performance, identifying and mitigating schedule risks.
• Provide leadership and guidance to expeditors and broader procurement team members.
• Establish strong relationships with suppliers, clients and project stakeholders to drive accountability.
• Ensure accurate reporting of expediting activities, progress updates and delivery forecasts.
• Coordinate with quality, logistics and project controls teams for seamless execution.
• Facilitate proactive resolution of supplier performance issues, non‑conformances and potential delays.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain processes.

Required profile

• Experienced expediting, procurement or supply chain professional with project delivery background in mining, energy, infrastructure or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to manage supplier performance and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong planning, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant technical, trade or tertiary qualifications are highly regarded.
