Exercise Physiologist (Grade 2)

About the role

Macedon Ranges Health, supported by Benetas, is looking for a Grade 2 Exercise Physiologist to join its Allied Health team in Gisborne. The role helps people across the Macedon Ranges improve their mobility, independence and quality of life. It is a 12-month, part-time position of about 0.6 FTE, working three days per week, Monday to Wednesday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, with possible flexibility on working days.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services in clinic and community settings for clients of all ages, backgrounds and health conditions
• Manage your own caseload within a multidisciplinary team
• Assess and manage musculoskeletal, neurological, chronic and age-related conditions
• Develop individualised treatment plans and deliver safe, evidence-based individual and group exercise programs in clinic and home settings
• Provide individual consultations and facilitate selected group programs
• Support clients to improve mobility, independence and wellbeing
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement

Required profile

• Current registration with ESSA
• Grade 2 experience
• Valid Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one

• Complete comprehensive Exercise Physiology assessments
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills
• Evidence-based practice and commitment to ongoing professional development
