Executive Manager - Commercial Banking

About the role

CommBank is looking for an Executive Manager to lead a high-performing Commercial Banking team in Sydney. The team supports medium to large businesses across Australia, with a focus on companies turning over $30m-$150m or with $10m-$50m in commercial lending requirements. The role covers transactional banking, commercial lending, working capital finance, asset finance and risk management, with a strong risk lens.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor the team, building a culture where everyone feels empowered to excel.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and help the team deliver outstanding service.
• Engage closely with key stakeholders to ensure sustainable outcomes.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of complex client needs, including risk and compliance.
• Drive deal execution with proven skills in origination, structuring and negotiation of complex solutions.
• Identify key opportunities in a changing commercial landscape and develop strategies accordingly.

Required profile

• A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance and/or Commerce, highly regarded.
• People leadership: coaching a team to develop customer focus, risk and credit skills.
• Exceptional commercial acumen and credit understanding.
• Strong leadership capability and a robust risk management focus.
• Success-oriented, engaged and motivated.
