Executive - Financial Control, Banking and Financial Services

About the role

Macquarie is looking for an Executive to join its Financial Control team, supporting end-to-end financial control for its Banking and Financial Services business, which covers Personal Banking, Business Banking, Payments and Wealth. The role sits within Financial Management, People and Engagement, which manages the Group's financial, tax and treasury activities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the business balance sheet and profit and loss activities, including General Ledger close activities
• Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and understand key controls and judgements
• Provide technical accounting support for new business initiatives such as new products or features
• Implement and monitor the financial control framework

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in accounting or similar, CA/CPA qualified, or studying towards it
• Experience in a financial control position
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Previous experience in financial services is valuable

• Technical accounting expertise
• Ability to work in a large, operationally complex environment (highly considered)
