Executive Assistant

About the role
The Executive Assistant will provide high‑level, confidential administrative support to the Executive Director of TAFE Queensland’s Brisbane Region. This temporary, part‑time position (0.8 FTE) runs for 12 months and is based in South Brisbane, with occasional work at other campuses.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver executive support aligned with TAFE Queensland’s strategic direction, handling correspondence, briefings, reports and meeting documentation.
- Conduct research and prepare analysis on strategic matters, presenting recommendations to the Executive.
- Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Executive’s office, including scheduling, document preparation and information flow.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across business, industry and community.
- Assist the Executive Services Manager in creating and refining business systems, processes and guidelines for the executive support team.
- Promote and model organisational values such as Safety First, Working Together and Taking Responsibility.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience providing confidential executive‑level administrative support.
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with capacity to prioritise competing tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional relationship‑building.
- Ability to conduct research, analyse information and produce clear recommendations.
- Commitment to upholding TAFE Queensland’s values and contributing to cultural transformation.
