Executive Assistant (ASD Level 4 & 5)

About the role

The Australian Signals Directorate is seeking energetic, highly organised Executive Assistants at ASD Level 4 and Level 5 to provide high‑level support to Senior Executive Service staff. The role involves managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and travel, and handling confidential information in a fast‑growing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage executive calendars, appointments and prioritise competing commitments.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel in line with ASD travel policy.
• Prepare meeting materials, correspondence, presentations and minutes, handling sensitive information securely.
• Respond to routine and moderately complex email enquiries, triage incoming documents and maintain records management systems.
• Collaborate with other Executive Assistants and broader business areas to ensure seamless delivery of organisational priorities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and model ethical behaviour consistent with APS Code of Conduct.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to build and sustain relationships across the organisation.
• Understanding of relevant legislative frameworks and government decision‑making processes, or ability to attain this knowledge.
