Event Sales Manager

About the role

Join Ovolo Sydney as an Events Sales Manager, driving new business and delivering unforgettable events for the iconic waterfront hotel. Reporting to the Director of Events, you will be the first point of contact for sales enquiries across MICE, corporate groups, weddings and more.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and secure new business opportunities across all event market segments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, event planners and key partners.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans, lead generation initiatives and manage sales pipelines.
• Represent Ovolo at trade shows, networking events and industry activations.
• Conduct site inspections and familiarisations that showcase the Ovolo experience.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure seamless event execution and communicate logistics across departments.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in sales management or business development within a hospitality conference and sales environment.
• Strong understanding of the Sydney events and corporate market.
• Proven ability to generate revenue and exceed targets.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, hands‑on and entrepreneurial mindset with strong organisational abilities.
