Ethics Program Leader
EY · Adelaide
Job description
About the role
EY is looking for an experienced and passionate person to join its Risk Management team in Adelaide as Ethics Program Leader. You will lead the ongoing operation of EY Oceania's ethics and conduct programs, coordinating and overseeing the ethics hotline, conduct reporting and whistleblower matters, supporting investigations and follow-up, and helping deliver communications, learning, reporting and governance activities that reinforce the EY Global Code of Conduct. The role works closely with senior leadership and GCO to manage reported concerns consistently and monitor remediation.
This is a hybrid position that can be performed from any of EY's offices across Australia or New Zealand, and it may be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end operation of EY Oceania's ethics reporting channels, including assessment, triage and allocation of ethics hotline and whistleblower matters, and oversee investigations, outcomes, remediation and follow-up to closure.
- Implement and continuously improve the ethics program by turning the EY Global Code of Conduct into practical guidance, resources, communications, learning and awareness initiatives.
- Report and brief senior leadership clearly and on time, analyse case and program data to spot trends and emerging risks, oversee regulatory and disclosure responses, and maintain ethics policies, procedures and governance documentation.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in ethics, compliance, investigations, employee relations, legal, governance, quality improvement, risk management or a related field, ideally in professional services or another regulated environment.
- Sound judgement, integrity and discretion with sensitive matters, balancing commerciality, best practice and risk mitigation.
- Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior leaders.
- Ideal but not required: graduate or postgraduate qualification in risk management, HR, law, psychology, business or a related field with 10+ years' experience, leadership experience including coaching and team culture, and experience leading strategic initiatives and operational improvement programs.
What we offer
- Career development with future-focused skills and world-class experiences.
- Flexible work arrangements.
- A benefits package including a yearly wellness incentive, an extra 8 weeks of flex leave per year, and family-friendly policies such as up to 26 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave.
- A competitive salary open to negotiation depending on skills and experience.
