Environmental Coordinator

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to ensure compliance across civil and terminal station works on major infrastructure projects in Australia. Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Environmental, you will work on‑site in a regional camp, supporting biodiversity protection and environmental controls.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect civil and terminal station work fronts daily and weekly to verify compliance with CEMP, ECPs, work method statements and permits.
• Advise construction teams on installing and maintaining environmental controls and habitat protection measures.
• Prepare, review and update site Environmental Control Plans for earthworks, drainage and access routes.
• Investigate incidents, track corrective actions and maintain accurate environmental records for reporting and audits.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science, ecology or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with environmental compliance, permits, CEMPs and ECPs.
• Willingness to work in a regional camp on a structured roster and communicate clearly with site teams and external stakeholders.

• Use of GIS or EDMS tools (desirable)
