Enterprise Account Executive, Public Sector
snowflake · Melbourne
Job description
About the role
Snowflake is looking for a senior Enterprise Account Executive to lead its relationships with a focused portfolio of its largest and most strategic public sector customers and prospects. You will own complex, whole-of-government and major agency accounts, expand Snowflake's footprint with established customers, land new strategic logos and shape multi-year transformation programs built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
Key responsibilities
- Own a small portfolio of complex public sector accounts and build multi-year strategic account plans combining consumption expansion with net-new acquisition.
- Shape and close large, transformational programs that position the Snowflake AI Data Cloud as the enterprise data foundation for whole-of-government data sharing, analytics and AI.
- Grow strategic workloads such as Snowflake Cortex AI, Snowpark, Snowflake Marketplace, secure data sharing, clean rooms and Snowflake Horizon governance.
- Engage and influence senior executives including Department Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, CIOs, CDOs and program sponsors, aligning Snowflake to national digital, data and AI agendas.
- Lead complex procurement pursuits end to end, including large tenders, panel and framework arrangements, enterprise agreements and security, sovereignty and compliance accreditation.
- Orchestrate a virtual account team across Solution Engineering, Professional Services, Partner, Legal and Snowflake executives, and co-sell with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and global systems integrators.
- Drive large-scale migrations from legacy data warehouses and on-premise platforms onto Snowflake, with clear value realisation and executive business reviews.
- Forecast accurately and run rigorous deal strategy using MEDDPICC or a similar methodology across long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Required profile
- Deep track record selling complex technical solutions (SaaS, cloud, data or AI) into the largest public sector or enterprise accounts.
- Proven success closing large, multi-year, multi-million dollar agreements and growing them through disciplined expansion.
- Established credibility with senior government executives and the ability to influence at the highest levels of an organisation.
- Expert knowledge of public sector procurement, enterprise agreements and security and data sovereignty requirements.
- Experience leading virtual account teams and partner ecosystems to deliver complex, high-visibility programs.
Required skills
- Mastery of MEDDPICC or a comparable qualification framework, with a reputation for accurate forecasting.
- Bonus points: experience selling data platforms, data warehousing, analytics or AI/ML at enterprise scale into government; strong relationships with global systems integrators and hyperscalers serving the public sector; background driving consumption-based growth across large, decentralised organisations; experience positioning AI and GenAI initiatives with government leadership.
