Microsoft Azure & AI Sales Specialist

About the role

Versent is growing its Microsoft business and is looking for a Microsoft Azure and AI Sales Specialist to lead customer growth across Azure, Azure AI, Copilot and GitHub. The role partners closely with Microsoft, Telstra and Australian cloud and AI specialists, taking customers from first conversation through to successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new customer acquisition and expand existing Microsoft CSP customer relationships.
• Identify, qualify and close Azure, Azure AI, Copilot and GitHub opportunities.
• Build strong executive relationships with customers, Microsoft and Telstra stakeholders.
• Own the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting through to contract signature and handover.
• Lead commercial discussions, proposal development, negotiations and deal strategy.
• Work with presales, engineering and delivery teams to shape customer solutions.
• Contribute to Microsoft's growth across cloud, AI and modern application opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience in technology sales, cloud sales or Microsoft-focused business development.
• A proven track record of winning new business and growing existing customer relationships.
• Experience selling Azure, AI, cloud or enterprise technology solutions.
• Confidence engaging technical teams, business stakeholders and executive leaders.

Required skills

• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Pipeline management capability.
