Emergency Medicine Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Consultant (FACEM) to join a major tertiary referral hospital in Darwin, delivering high‑acuity emergency care in a unique tropical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical leadership and decision‑making in a busy tertiary emergency department.
• Supervise and teach registrars, residents and medical students through workshops, simulation, ultrasound teaching and exam preparation.
• Contribute to trauma care, retrieval coordination, quality improvement and departmental development.

Required profile

• Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) with eligibility for specialist registration (AHPRA).
• Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
• Strong teaching, leadership and teamwork skills.
• A sense of adventure and enthusiasm for a unique tropical lifestyle.
