About the role
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Consultant (FACEM) to join a major tertiary referral hospital in Darwin, delivering high‑acuity emergency care in a unique tropical setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide senior clinical leadership and decision‑making in a busy tertiary emergency department.
- Supervise and teach registrars, residents and medical students through workshops, simulation, ultrasound teaching and exam preparation.
- Contribute to trauma care, retrieval coordination, quality improvement and departmental development.
Required profile
- Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) with eligibility for specialist registration (AHPRA).
- Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
- Strong teaching, leadership and teamwork skills.
- A sense of adventure and enthusiasm for a unique tropical lifestyle.
