About the role
Join the Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) team at ARH Essendon, a fully equipped veterinary hospital offering CT, MRI, digital radiology and more. This casual position is ideal for experienced GP or ECC nurses seeking to expand their skills in a fast‑paced, trauma‑focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Triaging and admitting emergency patients.
- Providing direct care for critically ill animals, including diagnostics, treatments and anaesthesia.
- Monitoring and accurately recording patient care.
- Liaising with veterinary staff and pet owners.
Required profile
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
- Ability to multitask in a high‑pressure setting.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Rx Works software.
- Experience using Smartflow electronic hospital charting.
