Electrical Supervisor

About the role

Reporting to the Coordinator: Electrical, the Electrical Supervisor provides front-line support and ensures all electrical works are carried out safely, on time, cost-effectively and in an environmentally responsible way, in line with legislative and statutory requirements and Gold Fields standards. The role manages the day-to-day activities of the electrical team, including contractors, and keeps production disruption to a minimum.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the electrical team, including contractors.
• Ensure all maintenance electrical works are completed safely and in compliance with established safe work procedures and systems.
• Keep production disruption minimal by ensuring ready access to critical parts, equipment and service providers, through good working relationships and contingency plans.
• Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring of the team using performance management systems.
• Assist in developing and maintaining training and development plans for the team.

Required profile

• Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification and WA electrical licence.
• Schedule 26 statutory supervisor certificate and a current electrical nominee's licence.
• High voltage switching qualifications and experience.
• Previous electrical supervisory experience with strong practical knowledge.
• Demonstrated leadership and performance development experience in a mining environment.
• WA manual driver's licence.
• Ability to multitask, communicate clearly and be proactive.
