Electrical Mine Trades Technician – Moranbah North

About the role

The Electrical Mine Trades Technician will join the Coal Clearance team at Moranbah North Mine, delivering safe and reliable electrical maintenance across the coal clearance circuit. This full‑time, permanent position supports plant availability and production targets in a high‑performing underground environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all electrical work in the coal clearance area in strict compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements and site procedures.
• Carry out maintenance, fault finding and repairs on conveyor systems, drives, motors, control circuits and protection equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to ensure continuous, efficient operation of coal clearance infrastructure.
• Support production goals by delivering high‑quality maintenance and contributing to a safety‑focused team culture.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) or equivalent.
• Current Queensland Electrical Licence and Standard 11 (Surface & Underground) certification.
• EEHA certification.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an underground coal mining environment.
• Demonstrated experience with conveyor systems and coal clearance infrastructure.
