About the role
The Education and Communications Officer leads the strategy, development and evaluation of the Public Transport Authority’s community education programme. This role designs and delivers initiatives that inform and engage diverse community groups while supporting broader communication goals.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies for stakeholders such as government, schools, community organisations and transport safety partners.
- Coordinate community and stakeholder engagement activities and represent the PTA at external events and working groups.
- Create and maintain education content and resources for public transport safety and usage.
- Analyse and report on the effectiveness of communication initiatives and identify new engagement opportunities.
- Support marketing and communication projects that align with corporate priorities.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification or significant experience in communications, education or a related field.
- Proven experience developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies, especially within education programmes.
- Demonstrated ability in community consultation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
