Ecommerce Manager

About the role

We are seeking a senior eCommerce Manager to own online trading across our website and app for a fast‑growing Australian activewear brand. The role is hands‑on, data‑driven and focused on conversion optimisation, search performance and merchandising.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute eCommerce strategy for desktop, mobile and app, translating customer data and market trends into growth roadmaps.
• Lead the CRO programme end‑to‑end, using analytics, heatmaps and session recordings to identify friction and run A/B or multivariate tests.
• Manage onsite search performance, including relevance, synonyms, redirects, autocomplete and fixing zero‑result queries.
• Oversee online merchandising of homepage, collection and category pages, product sorting, recommendations, bundles and cross‑sell/upsell.
• Collaborate with commercial, product and operations teams on hero products, launches, stock levels and inventory targets.
• Set up category structures, navigation and collections for product drops, promotions and seasonal moments.
• Lead and develop an eCommerce Lead and CRM Coordinator, and manage external development agencies and IT partners.
• Report on traffic, conversion, AOV and CAC, using insights to continuously improve the customer experience.

Required profile

• Solid experience in eCommerce, digital trading or integrated marketing, preferably DTC, retail or fashion.
• Hands‑on experience running CRO and A/B testing programmes (VWO, Optimizely, Convert or similar).
• Proficiency with behaviour analytics tools such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity.
• Experience managing onsite search platforms (Algolia, Searchspring, Klevu or Shopify Search & Discovery).
• Strong understanding of online merchandising and ability to work with commercial teams on range, stock and margin priorities.
