Ecology Roles Across NSW

About the role

AECOM is expanding its Ecology practice across NSW and is seeking experienced ecology professionals for roles ranging from professional to director level in Sydney and Newcastle.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver ecological assessments, field investigations and baseline flora and fauna surveys.
• Support State Significant Development and Infrastructure projects with technical reporting and environmental impact assessments.
• Build trusted client relationships, lead project teams and mentor emerging ecologists.
• Contribute to business development, innovation and improvement of ecological tools.

Required profile

• Experience in ecology, environmental consulting or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a passion for biodiversity and conservation.
• Leadership capability or interest in growing into people‑leadership roles.

Required skills

• Ecological assessments and biodiversity assessment.
• Experience with NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) – preferred.
• Technical reporting and environmental impact assessment.
