Environmental Manager

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead all environmental and sustainability activities on regional infrastructure projects in Australia. Reporting to the Project Director, you will set strategic direction for environmental protection, sustainability performance, climate and resource management, and regulatory compliance throughout design, construction, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all environmental and sustainability functions across the project.
• Set governance for environmental and sustainability management to Builder PSDR.
• Ensure compliance with approvals, EPRs and legislation.
• Oversee the Construction Environmental Management Plan and sub‑plans.
• Drive the Sustainability Management Plan and initiatives.
• Monitor and report on performance, targets and KPIs.
• Manage environmental and sustainability risk, incidents and audits.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering.
• Experience managing environmental/sustainability on major projects.
• Strong knowledge of approvals, EPRs and legislation.
• Experience managing sustainability initiatives and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
