Earthworks Supervisor - FIFO NT

About the role

Exact Contracting is hiring an Earthworks Supervisor to oversee daily project earthworks and activities on a remote Northern Territory site. The supervisor ensures works are delivered safely, on budget and on schedule, working a 2 weeks on, 1 week off FIFO roster.

Key responsibilities

• Lead from the front and drive the company's culture and vision, particularly around safety
• Manage resources so production schedules are met
• Understand contractual requirements and provide timely, accurate information to management and the client
• Provide on-the-ground leadership, direction, guidance and feedback to teams and individuals
• Maintain the scheduling of project activities and ensure contractual and KPI reporting is provided
• Work closely with the Project Management Team to complete projects safely, within budget and on time
• Conduct scheduled performance appraisals and prepare corrective and development plans where needed

Required profile

• Supervisory or management experience in bulk/civil earthworks (essential)
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Management, or equivalent experience/qualification (highly regarded)
• S1, S2 and S3 qualifications (highly regarded)
• Demonstrated understanding of mining and/or civil plant and equipment operations and maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
• Effective planning, time management and prioritisation
• Confident communication with employees, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Experience with Microsoft Office and maintenance-related systems such as MEX
• Self-motivated, hands-on approach, desire to work in remote locations
