About the role

Capel Primary School is building a pool of qualified Early Childhood and Primary teachers (K-6) for permanent and fixed‑term positions that may start throughout the 2027 school year. Successful candidates will join a supportive community that values personal best, independence, respect and caring.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and a growth mindset.
• Design and deliver engaging literacy and numeracy programs aligned with evidence‑based teaching practices.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues in whole‑school initiatives and contribute to the school’s Positive Behaviour Support framework.
• Build strong relationships with parents, students and staff through effective communication.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with registration appropriate for Western Australia.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural ability to foster genuine relationships.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaborative practice.
• Motivation to deliver best‑practice teaching and support student social‑emotional development.

Required skills

• Experience designing and implementing literacy and numeracy curricula.
• Knowledge of differentiation strategies for diverse learners.
• Familiarity with evidence‑based, whole‑school teaching approaches.
