Duty Manager / Team Leader – Car Park Operations

About the role

The Car Park Duty Manager leads day‑to‑day fleet and car‑park operations at Melbourne Airport, coaching staff to deliver high‑quality customer service and ensuring continuous improvement across all operational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the shift team to meet operational requirements and maintain morale.
• Ensure the appropriate fleet size and categories are available to meet bookings and walk‑up customers.
• Manage fleet utilisation, maintenance, and repair to achieve utilisation targets.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well‑maintained vehicles and accessories.
• Follow incident and accident damage procedures and complete required reports.
• Forecast staffing needs based on rental volumes and manage resources accordingly.
• Conduct regular huddles, check physical ready lines, and meet Net Promoter Score targets.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, security policies, and company service standards.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience with strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Demonstrated customer service and sales techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full working rights in Australia and a full driver’s licence.
• Ability to work a rotating roster.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
