Duty Manager / Team Leader at Melbourne Airport

About the role

The Car Park Duty Manager leads day‑to‑day operations of fleet management at Melbourne Airport, coaching staff to deliver excellent customer service and ensuring smooth vehicle flow in the car park.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the shift team to meet operational requirements and maintain morale.
• Ensure the right fleet mix is available, achieve utilisation targets, and oversee maintenance and repair.
• Maintain clean, safe, well‑maintained vehicles for bookings and walk‑up customers.
• Follow incident, accident, and safety procedures, complete required reports, and conduct regular staff huddles.
• Forecast staffing needs, manage resources, and uphold company service standards and security policies.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience with strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Demonstrated customer service and sales techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full working rights in Australia and a full driver’s licence.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
• Ability to use company incident and accident damage procedures.
