Duty Manager / Team Leader – Airport Operations

About the role

As a Duty Manager at Canberra Airport you will oversee daily operations of staff and the vehicle fleet, ensuring smooth customer service and sales processes while maintaining high standards of vehicle condition and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach the on‑shift team, providing sales mentoring and ensuring service standards are met.
• Manage vehicle readiness, checking cleanliness, mechanical condition and roadworthiness before rental.
• Oversee vehicle returns, inspect for damage and report issues.
• Schedule staff rosters to match business needs and support recruitment when required.
• Achieve Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Client Service Incentive (CSI) targets.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience with strong coaching abilities.
• Proven customer service and sales techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster and a full driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Full driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices.
