Domestic Services (Care Service Employee)

About the role

Peninsula Villages, the largest not-for-profit aged care organisation on the Central Coast, is looking for a Domestic Services employee (care service worker) to support its residents. The work starts and finishes at times that suit people with school-aged children, and casual positions are also available. Full training and buddy shifts are provided before starting.

Key responsibilities

• General housekeeping and cleaning of residents' rooms, laundries, common areas and consulting rooms using commercial cleaning equipment
• Assist with the commercial laundry: loading and emptying washing machines and dryers, sorting and folding linen and labelling clothing
• Remove rubbish and restock cleaners' cupboards
• Clean kitchenettes

Required profile

• Able to work autonomously, with a good eye for detail and accuracy
• Willing to align practice with the Peninsula Villages ICCARE values
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Understanding of infection control's role in maintaining health and safety
• Physical capability to meet the job demands; the role is physically demanding
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency with permanent working rights; visa sponsorship is not offered
