Disputes & Investigations Lawyer

About the role

Gilbert + Tobin is seeking a motivated lawyer to join its Disputes and Investigations group in Western Australia. The successful candidate will work on high‑stakes commercial disputes, regulatory investigations and complex land‑access matters for mining, energy and infrastructure clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior partners in managing high‑profile litigation, class actions, Royal Commissions and other inquiries.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, submissions and advisory opinions.
• Support clients on native title, environmental, planning and administrative law issues.
• Participate in corporate restructuring matters and disputes over high‑value private trusts.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years post‑admission experience in a commercial litigation or regulatory dispute environment.
• Strong analytical ability and excellent written communication.
• Team‑first mindset with the capacity to work independently when required.
• Interest in native title, land‑access, environmental or administrative law.
