Dispensary Technician (DAA) - Community Pharmacy

About the role

TerryWhite Chemmart Penrith Compounding is a specialised community pharmacy focused on pharmaceutical compounding and patient care. It is hiring a full-time Dispensary Technician (38 hours per week) who will focus on Dose Administration Aid (DAA) and Webster packing services, preparing, packing and administering DAA packs accurately and safely. The role also supports medication dispensing, stock management and administrative tasks alongside pharmacists.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly and communicate clearly about prescription processing and wait times
• Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately under pharmacist supervision
• Carry out DAA Webster packing processes and procedures confidently
• Manage inventory, including stock monitoring and ordering
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures and relevant legislation
• Help promote pharmacy services such as care clinic services and rewards programs

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Dispensary Technician managing DAA Webster packing processes
• Experience in inventory management and a good understanding of pharmacy operations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
• Customer-focused, with excellent communication skills
• Right to live and work in Australia; certification is not essential, with ongoing support for professional development

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer systems used for prescription processing and inventory management
• Understanding of pharmacy processes and procedures
