Dispatcher – Logistics Operations

About the role

UPS is seeking a Dispatcher to support the day‑to‑day operations of its logistics department. The role involves coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and drivers to ensure smooth import and export activities, particularly within the life‑science and clinical‑trial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage export operations by creating SLI, preparing labels and export packs for drivers.
• Oversee daily import deliveries and ensure accurate tracking.
• Schedule drivers, route jobs, and provide dispatch coverage when needed.
• Perform freight scanning, account for freight, and handle physical freight counts against system records.
• Coordinate with sub‑contractors, vendors, and internal departments on bookings, airline arrangements, and facility maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in the life‑science or clinical‑trial logistics field.
• Hands‑on experience with import and export processes.
• Familiarity with Sydney and surrounding areas and fleet operations.
• Ability to solve problems quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
