Disability Support Worker (Complex Care)

About the role

Drake is hiring a Disability Support Worker (Complex Care) in Point Cook, Victoria, to provide 1:1 care for a male client living at home with an Acquired Brain Injury. The role is casual with ongoing shifts and regular shift patterns, paid at $39-49 per hour, with monthly rosters based on availability.

Key responsibilities

• Personal care, prompting and supervising
• Meal preparation, prompting and supervising
• Medication administration
• Full supervision of the client
• Following a behaviour support plan
• Domestic assistance
• Continuous clinical assessment of the client
• Supporting the client with activities at home and in the community

Required profile

• Flexibility to work 24/7 rotating roster, including 8am-3pm and 3pm-11pm shifts
• Previous Acquired Brain Injury experience
• Personal care experience
• Minimum Certificate III in Healthcare
• Current accredited First Aid and CPR
• NDIS screening clearance
• Right to live and work in Australia
• Valid Australian driver's licence and Working with Children Check

Required skills

• Manual handling experience (essential)
• Manual handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Medication certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
