Director – Strategy & Performance Improvement

About the role

The Strategy and Performance Improvement team is expanding and seeks a Director‑level consulting professional with strong strategic, commercial and financial acumen. You will work with senior executives across multiple sectors to deliver financial performance and sustainability improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engagements that identify revenue uplift, cost reduction, productivity and margin improvement opportunities, and develop robust business cases.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to define strategic vision, design target operating models, and create implementation roadmaps.
• Track financial benefits, support execution of performance optimisation changes, and ensure benefits realisation.
• Contribute to business development through proposals, practice initiatives and client relationship building.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a Tier 1, boutique or mid‑tier consulting practice in strategy, target operating model design or financial performance improvement.
• Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, lead complex engagements and manage senior client relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing executive decisions.
• Comfortable in fast‑paced, ambiguous, change‑driven environments and able to coach junior staff.

Required skills

• Financial analysis and business case modelling (revenue, cost, productivity, benefits realisation).
• Design and redesign of operating models covering organisation structure, processes, governance and service delivery.
