Director, SAP Equip Planning & Optimisation

About the role

Transport for NSW is seeking a senior leader to head the planning and optimisation of its EQUIP (SAP) suite. The role sits on the Group Technology leadership team and will shape the strategic direction of SAP applications across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, prioritisation and optimisation of EQUIP (SAP) applications, translating business demand into clear road‑maps and high‑value initiatives.
• Connect business strategy, operations and technology, working with architecture and delivery partners to ensure proposals are value‑driven and aligned with architectural integrity.
• Oversee the Operational Managed Services partner for BAU support, providing strategic and operational governance, managing escalations and driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other EQUIP leaders to transition strategic intent into delivery execution, ensuring seamless hand‑over to solution design and implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement across the SAP lifecycle by leveraging operational insights and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Strategic, values‑driven senior leader with deep SAP expertise.
• Proven experience in fast‑paced, complex organisations, preferably large public‑sector entities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Tertiary‑qualified with a track record of planning, optimisation and business enablement in SAP environments.
