About the role

Hyatt Regency Brisbane, a full-service 5-star hotel, is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to lead its Sales & Marketing department. The role sets the strategic direction and execution of the hotel's sales and marketing initiatives and drives the business's growth. It is based in Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy targets
• Oversee the sales and marketing team, providing guidance, coaching and leadership
• Cultivate relationships with key clients, travel agents and industry partners
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to find new business opportunities
• Manage PR, CSR strategy, digital and social media presence and brand visibility
• Align sales and marketing with the hotel management team's business objectives
• Develop and monitor marketing budgets
• Keep up with industry best practice and apply innovative sales and marketing tactics

Required profile

• Extensive experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry
• Proven track record of leading sales and marketing teams to meet revenue and growth targets
• Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and ability to build data-driven marketing plans
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised, able to prioritise multiple tasks and work under pressure
