Director of Operations – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Join the Executive Leadership Team of the iconic Imperial Hotel Gold Coast as Director of Operations. Reporting to the General Manager, you will shape the strategic direction of all operational divisions and drive the transformation of Australia’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts property.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Security and Engineering to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Drive commercial performance through financial planning, revenue optimisation and cost control.
• Analyse guest feedback, operational data and market trends to identify innovation opportunities.
• Lead and develop departmental heads, building capability and succession pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Lead transformational projects that enhance the hotel’s competitive position and sustainability.

Required profile

• Senior leader with proven experience in luxury hotel or resort operations.
• Track record of delivering high guest satisfaction, strong financial results and successful change initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and people‑development skills.
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, public holidays and critical periods.

Required skills

• Operational expertise across Food & Beverage, Rooms Division and Engineering.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management capabilities.
• Leadership and coaching experience for high‑performing teams.
