Director of Community Services (Nursing Director)

About the role

Metro North Health is seeking a Director of Community Services (Nursing Director) for its Redcliffe Caboolture Community Services in Brisbane North. This is a permanent, full-time position providing effective leadership in the planning, management and delivery of safe, high-quality, consumer-centred care. The role works as an interprofessional team member with strong clinical expertise, contributing to strategic planning, quality management and professional leadership and development, and working with MNMH leaders and key stakeholders to implement strategies that meet service demand, targets and key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the practice of self and others in line with the code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice, by keeping current knowledge and competence within the scope of the position.
• Take part in ethical decision-making in the achievement of organisational goals.
• Work with key stakeholders to identify and prioritise needs, negotiating access to material and human resources to deliver cost-effective, consumer- and person-centred services, including applying the Business Planning Framework (BPF).

Required profile

• Nurse Grade 11 classification.
• Strong clinical expertise and contemporary knowledge of strategic planning, quality management and professional leadership and development.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and negotiate effectively.
