Director - International Tax Advisory

About the role

The Director, Tax Advisory Corporate & International leads tax advisory across Australia, New Zealand and the broader APAC region, supporting global cross‑border tax matters. The role partners with commercial teams, group functions and external advisors to provide practical tax advice on corporate transactions and capital management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advice on business initiatives, restructures, new market entry and cross‑border intercompany transactions.
• Support M&A activity, divestments and post‑acquisition integration, and contribute to international tax projects.
• Assist capital management initiatives such as dividends, capital returns and intercompany funding.
• Collaborate with US and EMEA teams on transfer pricing policies and ensure alignment with compliance obligations.
• Monitor regional tax law changes, communicate impacts and support finance teams in tax audits and inquiries.
• Lead relationships with external advisers, auditors and tax authorities across APAC and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate tax advisory, M&A, new market entry and cross‑border transactions.
• Strong commercial acumen within the technology sector and ability to work with diverse finance teams.
• Proven ability to manage tax audits, reviews and relationships with tax authorities.

Required skills

• International tax and transfer pricing expertise.
• Knowledge of APAC tax legislation (Australia, New Zealand, Macau, Philippines, Singapore).
• Experience in capital management, dividends and intercompany funding arrangements.
