Diploma Child Care Educator

About the role

BFS Children's Services is recruiting a Diploma Child Care Educator for its Kiama Downs Community Preschool, an 'Exceeding NQS' rated service. The role is permanent and full-time, 38 hours per week Monday to Friday at 7.6 hours per day. The preschool has a large natural, newly renovated outdoor yard and two open indoor playrooms for children aged 0-3 and 3-5 years, and focuses on a smooth transition to school.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality education and care to all children
• Contribute to planning educational programs that support a child's learning and help them meet their goals
• Build strong relationships with children, families and the community
• Bring fun, laughter and play to each day, creating moments for children to experiment and grow

Required profile

• Diploma in Child Care
• Valid NSW working with children check (WWCC)
• Cleared National Criminal Record Check
• Completed the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course
• Commitment to safeguarding children and to cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families
• Two referees, one of whom must be a manager or supervisor at your current or most recent workplace
