Digital BIM Lead - Building Services

About the role

As a Digital BIM Lead for Building Services, you will join AECOM’s National Building Engineering team, working across Australia on a variety of infrastructure and building projects. You will drive BIM execution, digital coordination and the adoption of emerging technologies to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead BIM execution planning and digital coordination for Building Services projects, ensuring consistent standards and ISO 19650 compliance.
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using Revit, Revizto and Navisworks throughout design and construction phases.
• Guide evaluation and implementation of digital tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to project BIM teams, maintaining quality across all project scales.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external consultants to align digital delivery with project and client objectives.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualifications or industry experience in Building Services (mechanical, fire, hydraulic preferred).
• Proven experience in BIM coordination and digital delivery within construction or infrastructure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary coordination.
• Australian citizenship preferred; current defence clearance is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Working knowledge of coordination platforms such as Revizto and Navisworks.
