DevOps Engineer – Secure Cloud Infrastructure (12‑month contract)

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a critical cyber‑security initiative. The role is a 12‑month contract based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Canberra and focuses on designing, deploying and managing secure cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash and PowerShell.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, reliability and security through logging, alerting and incident response.
• Collaborate with software engineers, cloud specialists and stakeholders to troubleshoot and streamline delivery.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure services.
• Hands‑on experience with IaC and configuration‑management tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI or equivalents).
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash and/or PowerShell.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes workloads.
• Understanding of networking, systems engineering, security principles and cloud service models.
• Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance or ability to obtain it.
