IT Operations Engineer

About the role

Stake is looking for an IT Operations Engineer to join its Technology team in Sydney. You will own and continuously improve the technology environment that supports people, systems and workflows, ensuring it remains secure, reliable and efficient. The role works in a hybrid model, spending three days a week in the dog‑friendly office.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the workplace technology environment, including SaaS platforms, endpoint management and identity systems.
• Partner with Security, People and Technology teams to streamline processes, improve employee experience and support scaling.
• Build and maintain scalable onboarding, offboarding and device lifecycle processes for a growing global team.
• Strengthen identity, access and device management practices while maintaining a seamless employee experience.
• Increase visibility and operational maturity through improved monitoring, reporting and service management.
• Identify and mitigate operational risk by proactively addressing issues and enhancing documentation.

Required profile

• Experience managing modern workplace technology environments across SaaS platforms, endpoint management and identity systems.
• Proven ability to build operational excellence and make systems more scalable, reliable and efficient.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort navigating ambiguity while maintaining momentum.
• Clear communicator who can build strong relationships with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Pragmatic decision‑maker who balances immediate priorities with long‑term outcomes.
• Ownership mindset, urgency and a passion for delivering a great employee experience.
