DevOps Engineer (Azure, Terraform)

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will design, build and operate Azure cloud environments for development, test and production, driving automation and DevSecOps across the technology lifecycle. Based in Perth, Sydney or Melbourne, you will work in a global team to evolve APM’s cloud platforms and engineering capability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision and manage Azure cloud environments across all stages of the software lifecycle.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and enforce IaC best practices.
• Embed security controls, scanning and governance (DevSecOps) into pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure and application delivery to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.
• Support incident response, problem management and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and security teams to raise platform maturity.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for critical services.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience working with Azure or in systems engineering roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform and IaC principles.
• Proven track record building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, networking, identity and security.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and security governance.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills in a fast‑paced environment.
