Design Manager – Retail BIM Lead

About the role

7‑Eleven Australia is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead store development projects in Melbourne. The role combines design management with BIM oversight, ensuring consistency, efficiency and quality across the retail network.

Key responsibilities

• Act as subject‑matter expert during concept, schematic and construction documentation stages, using Revit for feasibility design and store layouts.
• Conduct store walks, site assessments and sign‑off all concept designs, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams (property, construction, operations) and external partners (architects, engineers, contractors) to deliver designs that meet 7‑Eleven standards.
• Manage BIM environment, model standards, digital delivery and support the Revit/BIM workflow across the store network.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in BIM, Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a BIM Manager, Design Manager or in a digital delivery role within retail or commercial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards and local planning regulations.

Required skills

• Expert‑level proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and BIM 360/ACC.
• Ability to author and maintain BIM Execution Plans, model standards and family/template libraries.
• Experience managing model coordination, clash detection and data quality.
