Design Architect – Lead Brisbane Studio

About the role

MODE is seeking an experienced Design Architect to lead its Brisbane Studio and contribute to projects across Australia and New Zealand. The role combines creative vision with technical precision, guiding multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and project delivery from concept to construction completion for a variety of sectors.
• Oversee consultant coordination, planning approvals, documentation, contract administration and site inspections.
• Mentor and supervise architects and junior staff, ensuring high‑quality design outcomes and meeting project deadlines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across urban design, residential, commercial, health, education, infrastructure and other sectors.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Architecture recognised in Australia and current architectural registration.
• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering architectural projects through design, documentation and construction phases.
• Strong knowledge of local, state and national planning regulations, legislation and construction codes.
• Proven ability to manage project programmes, schedules and stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Extensive experience with BIM coordination.
