Deputy Manager, Employability Operations and Engagement

About the role

The ANU Careers & Employability team develops and coordinates services, programs and activities that enhance the employability and university experience of all students, working with central and College staff on curricular and co-curricular programs that prepare students for rewarding careers. Supported by the Manager, Employability Operations and Engagement, the Deputy Manager assists with the strategic coordination of work-integrated learning (WIL) and operations for the institution, and provides advice and resources to the ANU community.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the University
• Lead operational excellence across employability and engagement programs
• Coordinate projects that enhance the student experience
• Assist with the strategic coordination of WIL and its operations
• Support the uptake and maintenance of institution-wide systems and software that support WIL
• Maintain compliance around legal, insurance and risk for WIL, including adherence to relevant policies and procedures

Required profile

• Preferred candidate must have the right to live and work in Australia
• Must complete mandatory pre-employment declarations and background checks in line with the Background Checking Procedure and the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence

What we offer

• Salary package of $124,392 - $133,017 per annum plus 17% superannuation
• Full-time, fixed-term position until February 2028
• Classification: ANU Officer Grade 8 (Administration)
