Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Mathematics (up to four positions)

About the role

The Mathematical Sciences Institute (MSI), part of the ANU College of Systems and Society, is appointing up to four continuing Lecturers and/or Senior Lecturers at Academic Level B and/or C, broadly equivalent to Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in the United States. Applications are open to outstanding mathematicians in any area of mathematics with an excellent research record and a strong commitment to high-quality teaching.

• Contribute to MSI's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
• Supervise research students
• Participate in the life of the Institute

Applications close on 1 December 2026 and are submitted through the ANU Mathematical Sciences Institute, with a covering letter, CV with publication list, research and teaching vision statement and three letters of recommendation. First-round interviews are scheduled for late December 2026, followed by a seminar presentation and face-to-face interview in early January 2027.
